For some time now, we’ve been working on a new version of Video Strip Poker that runs smoother and performs better. The game has been rewritten completely from scratch, but for player convenience we’ve kept the familiar look while adding a number of improvements. We’re now extremely happy to present an advanced public beta to selected players. You can download the game by clicking this link:
The game can be used alongside the current version, but in the near future it will be fully replaced by the new one. For quality reasons, the new game requires Windows 7 or newer (it works best on Windows 10 or 11).
The most important changes:
- a game engine rewritten completely from scratch
- a new opponent selector and opponent store, making it easier to browse, search, sort, and filter them according to your preferences.
- a completely new poker gameplay algorithm
- the ability to move the game to another drive (MENU→OPTIONS). The game, especially with a larger number of downloaded opponents, can take up quite a lot of disk space. This new feature lets you move the game at any time to another, larger drive without the hassle of manual copying.
- a new way to offer a drink (the glass button). Because the way this mechanic worked in the previous version was not obvious to players, we changed it so that the girl’s increased inattentiveness after being offered a drink is now shown by her briefly revealing one of her cards. This makes it easier, when needed, to win a round without having to use cheats that (in our opinion...) spoil the fun.
We’d also like to remind you that our software is free from ads, spyware, and malware, and that the game’s development is funded by sales of opponents.
We’re looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the new version of the game at [email protected]!
